Postma picked up the silver medal at the Finn Gold Cup and the Pre-Olympics in 2007 and then had a disastrous Olympics in 2008, failing to even make the medal race. After a few years picking himself up again he is now right back in contention with a bronze at the 2011 Olympic test event and a silver at the 2011 Finn Gold Cup.
