Record Finn World Masters opened amid inclement weather

News

The 2013 Finn World Masters has been officially opened at the Société des Régates Rochelaises in La Rochelle, France, though Sunday's practice race was cancelled as strong winds, accompanied by incessant rain, kept the sailors ashore all day. A few sailors did venture out for some last minute practice, while the rest preserved their energy for the racing which starts Monday.

 

Finn Masters looking forward to La Rochelle return

News

Next week, the Finn class returns en-masse to La Rochelle, France for the 2013 Finn World Masters. To date some 307 sailors from 27 countries have pre-entered and if all show up it is destined to be the largest Finn Masters ever.

Andrew Mills snatches Hyeres victory

Sailing World Cup 2013

Andrew Mills (GBR) has won his first ever major Finn event after snatching victory at the ISAF Sailing World Cup Hyeres. Saturday was medal race day and after trailing team mate Giles Scott (GBR) all week, he was the best performer on the final day to take a well deserved win. Scott took the silver while Josh Junior (NZL) took bronze.
