The road to Rio begins

Here is some useful information and links for the Rio 2016 Olympics which will be updated as more information comes available.

 

Rio 2016

The qualification system for the Rio 2016 Olympic Sailing Qualification has been published. The regatta venue is the Marina da Glória with racing taking place inside and outside the Guanabara Bay and will feature 380 athletes competing across 10 events. Santander 2014

The first qualifier for Rio 2016 will be the 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships in Santander in September 2014. The second qualifier will be the 2015 Finn Gold Cup in Takapuna, New Zealand.

ISAF requires Member National Authorities to nominate sailors who will participate at the 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships.
