Sun shines on Split as Finn Europeans is officially opened

The 2015 Finn Junior and Senior European Championships has been opened in Split, Croatia, today amid some spectacular weather as the sailors make final preparations for a tough week of competition ahead. There are 71 sailors from 28 nations and five continents. Included in that number are 17 Juniors from 11 nations.

Finn fleet looking forward to return to beautiful Split for European Championship

The Finn class is making a welcome return next week to the beautiful city of Split, Croatia, for its 2015 Senior and Junior European Championships. Around 80 sailors from 29 countries have entered for the first major championship of the year. Five years ago Split also hosted the European Championship, with local sailor, Ivan Kljakovic Gaspic (CRO) taking a close win after a dramatic medal race.

New book from UK champion Nick Craig

Drawing on more than 30 years as a competitive dinghy sailor, four-time OK Dinghy World Champion Nick Craig has written his first book, ‘Helming to Win’. It was published by Fernhurst Books in March 2015 as part of its revitalised ‘Sail to Win’ series.
