No racing was possible on the first day for the Finns at the 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships in Santander. There was never more than 5-6 knots on the course area and it was never particularly stable enough to start a race. The day was vert hot and sunny for the most with a strong current also running down the course. One start was attempted at 15.30 but was postponed in the final minute. After another 90 minutes wait, racing was abandoned for the day.
