Uwe Barthel writes: ³The German Finn Association, the Rostocker Regattaverein and the Akademischer Segler Verein zu Rostock invite sportsman from Europe and the World to our Finn Open European Championship & Open Junior European Championship, starting on 19th July until 27th July 2013 in Rostock-Warnemünde.

We would like to offer a fair and unforgettable competition on the Baltic Sea with the support of the government of Mecklenburg - Vorpommern, the Hanseatic city of Rostock and numerous sponsors.

The sailing area of Warnemünde is one of the best of Germany and has already been venue for Finn European championships in 1961 and 1969 as well as together with Leipzig applicant for the Olympic Games in 2012.

Successful German Finn sailors such as Jürgen Vogler, Jürgen Mier, Bernd Dehmel, Hans-Christian Schröder and Jochen Schümann have practiced here before international competitions and have then won titles and medals at Olympic Games, the Gold Cup or European championships.

A sporty oriented infrastructure onshore, short sails to the race areas, often perfect wind conditions and a moderate streaming paired with an experienced competition management and competent judges enable great sailing.

All interested sailors who would like to practice before the championship have the chance to do so as we have a great international regatta during the Warnemünde Week from 12th to 14th July.

We are looking forward to an exciting sailing in July 2013."
