The Finn class operates an integrated media platform which includes many third party services such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Flickr.

Daily regatta reports
The Finn class produces in depth daily reports from its major championships and briefer daily reports from most Sailing World Cup events which are circulated to a wide mailing list including sailors, press, national authorities and interested parties. You can subscribe to the service here

Photos
Photos can be downloaded royalty free from the Finn Class site at Flickr (see below). Higher resolution photos are available on request. Photos  for commercial use can be obtained for a small fee. More details here.

This is where you are now. Updated all year round with news reports from events, plus features and interviews. Gets around half a million hits a year, peaking during a major regatta.

The place for all the videos. Launched at the end of 2008 it has already had more than 500,000 video views with hundreds of Finn class videos posted.

To find a photo select a SET and search. Some photos are tagged so try searching. To download, click on the thumbnail, then right click on the larger image and select the size you wish to download. Most images are stored at least 3000 pixels wide.

Around 30-50 tweets are sent per day during Europeans and Gold Cups mainly from on the water bringing updates to race schedules and mark by mark roundings. The feed is also repeated on the blog and the website. Has 2,700 followers (February 2014)

Launched in early 2010, it quickly attracted a large fan base. [3,900 by February 2014]. All reports, results and photos are repeated here as well as more urgent announcements and press releases.

Boat tracking
The IFA works with organisers to encourage use of boat GPS tracking systems. At the 2009 Finn Gold Cup n Vallensbaek, Denmark, deivices were fitted to all boats for the whole regatta with the assistance of the Danish Sailing Federation. The organisers stated they were getting upwards of 8,000 tracking windows opened each day by the end of the week.
