The medal race for the Finn class at the Weymouth and Portland International Regatta was dominated and won by the man who has dominated and led all week here in Weymouth Bay. Ben Ainslie (GBR) had won the regatta with a day to spare, but of course, with Ainslie being Ainslie, he wasn't happy with just finishing the medal race, he had to win it as well – to add to his five race victories the past week.

Ben Ainslie (GBR) produced pure brilliance on the final full racing day for Finns at the Weymouth and Portland International Regatta. Not only did he win both races in confident fashion, he also dispatched his nearest rival in an audacious match racing move before the start, sealing his regatta win with a day to spare. Pieter Jan Postma (NED) is now 19 points behind the Olympic Champion, with Jonathan Lobert (FRA) a further four behind, with just the medal race to sail.

Another great performance from the Olympic Champion Ben Ainslie (GBR) on the fourth day of racing for the Finns at the Weymouth and Portland International Regatta moves him into a narrow, but significant, seven point lead at the top of the fleet after posting a first and second on Wednesday. Pieter Jan Postma (NED) moves up to second place after winning the second race of the day while Jonathan Lobert (FRA) drops one to third, with just two more races to sail before the medal race split.

Ben Ainslie (GBR) returned to winning form in the Finn fleet on the third day of the Weymouth and Portland International Regatta 2011 to take a three point advantage into Tuesday's lay day. Jonathan Lobert (FRA) won the first race of the day to stay firmly in contention while two solid results from Pieter Jan Postma (NED) leaves him just one point further back.

Pieter Jan Postma (NED) dominated the Finn class on the second day of the Weymouth and Portland International Regatta 2011 with two great race wins in very challenging conditions. However Ben Ainslie (GBR) continues to lead the regatta after four races, with Jonathan Lobert (FRA) on equal points in second. After his double win Postma climbs to third overall, three points off the leaders.
